The DIN latch is designed for dependable day-to-day door operation in high-traffic residential, commercial, and public environments. Manufactured from stainless steel 304, the assembly includes a robust forend, strike plate, follower, and latch mechanism engineered to deliver consistent performance and extended service life.
Available with 55mm, 60mm, and 65mm backset options, the latch accommodates a wide range of door preparations. The case is pierced to accept bolt-through furniture at 38mm centres, supporting straightforward installation with standard lever handles and architectural hardware. The latch is operated directly by the lever handle, providing smooth retraction and secure closing without the need for a separate locking function.
All major working components are produced from stainless steel 304, offering strong resistance to corrosion, wear, and frequent handling. The latch has been tested to Grade X with 200,000 operational cycles, confirming durability under demanding usage conditions. The product is also suitable for installation on timber doors with up to 120 minutes fire resistance and metal doors with up to 240 minutes fire resistance, making it appropriate for projects requiring compliant hardware specifications.
Forend and strike plate options are available in square or radius profiles, allowing compatibility with different door edge preparations. A range of finishes, including Matt Antique Brass, Matt Black PVD, Polished Brass PVD, Polished Stainless Steel, Satin Brass PVD, and Satin Stainless Steel, enables coordination with surrounding door furniture. Supplied as a single unit, the DIN latch is intended for applications where reliability, durability, and resistance to misuse are essential.
